When taking a weekend car vacation, be sure to know what is on the road ahead. That means check the forecast or tune into the appropriate radio station. Make sure you calculate the rest stops that you will need for a bathroom break or to refill on gas and food. Do your research to know if there are any hotel/motels on your route, just in case you might need one. Weekend car travel can turn out to be a great get away if you plan accordingly.
